how to RSS this site
I received two comments that asked the same question: how does one access the RSS feed for this blog?
Easy! If you use Firefox. I have installed an RSS reader called Brief 1.2, an rss reader extension. Google or go to the Firefox homesite for info on that one.
To add a site to the RSS feed, there is an orange square that appears in the address window at the top of the browser at the right end of the window. Click on that for any site that offers RSS and you will load a new page that displays the articles that are currently available for access. I have my blog set to allow the 10 most recent articles. Click subscribe, add the blog to your Live Bookmarks rss list, and Bob’s your uncle. Until you ‘unsubscribe’ in your reader, the new articles will continue to appear in your reader.
My blog is fed as either RSS or Atom feeds. I have no clue what the difference is between them. I always pick RSS and it’s sweet.
Now, if you’re a My Yahoo user or Google or Bloglines or you have a separate rss reader client, use the dropdown box and make your choice.
Here are the direct feed links if that helps:
Atom: http://janwhitaker.com/jansblog/?feed=atom
RSS2: http://janwhitaker.com/jansblog/?feed=rss2
RSS: http://janwhitaker.com/jansblog/?feed=rss
If you use Internet Explorer, I’m afraid I’m no help. I hope the links above are enough to get you going.
Good luck!
